The Cosmopolitan, or 'Cosmo,' is a popular cocktail that rose to popularity in the 1990s. It's a sweet and sour cocktail made with vodka, cranberry juice, Cointreau, and lime juice.
Ingredients
- Ice
- Cointreau, 1/2 oz
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 cranberry juice, 4 oz
- For garnish, use a lime wheel
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
Instructions
- Fill an ice-filled cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
- Combine the vodka, cranberry juice, Cointreau, and lime juice in a mixing glass.
- Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
- Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.
- Serve with a lime wheel as a garnish.
