• Ice that has been crushed
• 1 oz simple syrup
• Bourbon, 2 oz

Instructions

• Fill the bottom of a julep cup or glass with fresh mint leaves.
• Muddle the mint leaves gently in simple syrup to release the mint oils.
• Fill the cup halfway with crushed ice.
• Pour the bourbon over the ice and gently stir to combine.
• Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint leaves if desired.
